Marhaba (hello) and welcome to my expedition through Turkey!
We will be exploring the western portions of the country with the help
of the most unintentionally hilarious tour guide in the Middle East, Macit
(Ma-jit).
I apologize for the candid photos of Macit, I’m
borderline terrified of him so I haven’t asked him to actually pose for a
photo. Perhaps if I drink a few raki I’ll have the courage of a lion and
I’ll ask him to pose with me.
During my travels in Turkey, I have been writing
down certain Macit quotes that have put a smile on my face. Each entry will revolve around one or more
quotes that provide a small vignette into life in Turkey from my perspective as
an outsider looking in.
